Kota: Aspirants have mixed feelings ahead of AIPMT results

The students, who appeared for the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) for second time on July 25, have a mixed feeling of anxiety and excitement before the results, likely to be declared on Monday.
The retest was held on the direction of the Supreme Court, which also cancelled the first AIPMT conducted on May 3 this year, following irregularities in the test.
As a result, the students had to go through the preparation process twice, thus bringing additional physical and mental pressure on them. The AIPMT aspirants are anxious as well as excited about the results.
“What will be my rank? Which medical college or city will I get? Such questions are going through my mind right now,” said Manish Kumar Sharma, an aspirant from Jaipur, who had been taking coaching from an institute in Kota. He said the aspirants had to go through a mental trauma this year, as they remained in dilemma since May 3 until the June 15 Supreme Court order paved the way for the second test.
Disha Aggarwal, a native of Balasore (Odisha) who had been taking coaching in another Kota institute, said, “Retest has delayed the academic session in medical colleges, but retest was necessary to prevent undue benefit to non-deserving aspirants who had cheated in the May 3 AIPMT.”
There are several aspirants, who got selected in the AIIMS examination this year but want to move to a better medical college on the basis of their all India rank (AIR) in AIPMT. One such student is Niladri Bhushan Mishra from Angul (Odisha), who has taken admission in AIIMS Bhubaneshwar after securing AIR 143 in the AIIMS examination. “It has been a pressure situation for AIPMT aspirants to bear cancellation of first AIPMT and later prepare again for re-AIPMT,” he said. “It took me some time to self motivate for preparing again for the AIPMT, but somehow I managed it,” he added.
Khushi Tiwari of Karauli (Rajasthan), who got AIR 128 in the AIIMS examination and has taken admission in AIIMS Jodhpur, is also looking forward to AIPMT results on Monday to seek admission in a better medical college. She wants admission in Maulana Azad Medical College of Delhi.
Around 50,000-55,000 AIPMT aspirants from different parts of the country took coaching for AIPMT in Kota this year. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had organised AIPMT at over 1,000 examination centres across 50 cities in the country, in which more than 4 lakh aspirants took part.

Zach Ertz Injury: Updates on Eagles TE's Groin and Return

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is dealing with a partial groin tear, per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, that's expected to keep him sidelined throughout the entire preseason.
The team announced he had surgery to repair the tear with Dr. William Myers.
Kelly confirmed Ertz is going to miss at least a "couple of weeks" due to the injury and doesn't expect him to see any game action during the exhibition slate, the team noted on Twitter. The goal right now is getting him back to full strength for the Eagles' opener against theAtlanta Falcons on Sept. 14.
"It's something that we wanted to get cleaned up, rather shut him down now than during the regular season," Kelly said, per Eagles Insider.
Ertz has been durable since getting drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. He's played in all 32 of the team's regular-season games since that point, tallying a combined 94 catches for nearly 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns.
It's a frustrating setback for the tight end, and he's spent the past couple of years trying to break out from the shadow of Brent Celek. A strong preseason could have allowed him to take on a more consistent pass-catching role in the offense.
Celek should handle a majority of the snaps with the first-team offense while Ertz is sidelined. It's also an opportunity for Trey Burton, who played more on special teams as a rookie, to showcase any progress he's made over the past year.

Kangana Ranaut chooses Shahid, Saif over Salman Khan

Kangana Ranaut's acting career was going through a lean phase till Vikas Bahl signed her for 'Queen'.
The movie did for her what 'The Dirty Picture' did for Vidya Balan - it made her a queen in Bollywood and she bagged another National Award (India).
Now plum offers are pouring in for Kangana and 'people are actually praying to work with her'.
But that doesn't mean the actress is taking up all that she is offered.
First, she turned down Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' for lack of a meaty role.
Now, she's refused YRF's 'Sultan' with Salman again for a different reason.
Unlike 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Kangana's role in 'Sultan' was meaty. She was approached to play a female wrestler. Salman himself plays a wrestler in the flick.
Kangana is not interested. Reason? She can't turn down the Vishal Bhardwaj film 'Rangoon' which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
'Sultan's' dates are clashing with 'Rangoon' and she is already committed to working with Bhardwaj.
So, mainly because of date issues Kangana chose Shahid and Saif over Salman.

Salman Khan says no to 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' director?

After the box-office success of Aanand L Rai's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', 'Ranjhannaa' and 'Tanu Weds Manu', there are very few actors or actresses, who would have had the guts to show the director the door. But if the rumour mills are to be believed, Salman Khan has actually said a clear no to him.

So, what issue did Salman have with the script that Aanand had penned especially for him?

Again, according to certain sections of the Indian media, the macho actor refused as he was offered the role of an unlikely hero in the form of a dwarf. Salman was clearly not interested.
Going by Aanand's previous films, this film would also have hints of an offbeat story with loads of emotions thrown in.

The beefy actor has probably become selective about the films that he will be working in ever since his conviction in the hit-and-run case.

Shah Rukh, Kajol re-kindle romance

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan shared a picture of him with his director friend Rohit Shetty and Kajol from the sets of their upcoming film 'Dilwale'.
The film which went on-floors in April with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is currently being shot in Bulgaria.
The evergreen pair of SRK and Kajol has joined now and will begin shooting.

Bollywood Gossip: Deepika, Ranveer Singh to get engaged soon?
