Sidharth, Anushka to team up?

If all goes well, actors Sidharth Malhotra and Anushka Sharma will soon be sharing screen space in an upcoming film.
The makers of this project - an Indian adaptation of the French film, Priceless (2006) - have apparently finalised their names for the lead roles. An industry insider reveals, "Filmmaker Karan Johar has joined hands with an international studio headed by Siddharth Roy Kapur for this large-scale project. He (Karan) has come on board as a co-producer."
The currently untitled movie will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani.    Incidentally, a report had claimed that the makers were considering roping in Alia Bhatt for the role that Anushka has now been approached for.
"But they want to go ahead with Sidharth and Anushka now as they feel their pairing will give the film a fresh and young vibe. Although they both have agreed to do the film in principle, they are yet to sign any papers."

Ex-lovers set for box office clash!

New Delhi, April 23 -- Although they never confirmed their relationship officially, actors Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra had the rumour mills buzzing with their hush-hush affair during the shooting of their film, Kaminey (2009).
Now, after their alleged break-up, the two are slated to clash at the box office with their respective films during the October 2 weekend.
Trade experts say this move could affect their films' box office collections. "If two films - regardless of the stars that feature in these - are released on the same date, the business will get affected," says trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
While the release date of Priyanka's film (Mary Kom biopic) was made public a few days ago, makers of Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider, starring Shahid, have now announced the same weekend as their release date, too.
Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar suspects it to be a marketing stunt. "It could be the figment of a publicist's imagination. But a movie-goer won't think about such things before buying the tickets. Plus, both films are completely different from each other," Kakkar says.

Sonam gives a cupcake treat!

New Delhi, April 23 -- She might have a perfect figure, but when it comes to satiating tummy groans, actor Sonam Kapoor is known to be quite a foodie.
Recently, while shooting for a scene for her upcoming film, Dolly Ki Doli, the 28-year-old had to eat cupcakes, and Sonam liked the cakes so much that she enquired with the production team about where had they got the cakes from.
Not just this, the actor even ordered over a 100 cupcakes for everyone on the sets. A source attached to the film says, "Sonam is known for being a darling on the sets. Whenever she feels like eating something, she makes sure that the entire set gets to eat with her, which is one of the reasons she is a favourite with the unit members. She is also known for surprising people close to her with gifts and other sweet gestures."
